SUTTON, ALASKA |
Sutton Community Council is an eight member representative body for Sutton, Alaska from Moose Creek to King River along the Glenn Hwy. Council Members serve two year staggered terms and are elected at an annual meeting in October each year. Meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Sutton Community Resource Center /Public Library.
The purpose of Sutton Community Council is to provide a direct means of citizen participation in Government and local affairs for Sutton residents. |
Sutton is small, bedroom community located about 60 miles from Anchorage. It is home to approximately 1,600 residents. Our town has an elementary school, Library, Post Office and Fire Station. Local businesses include a general store, gas station and bar.
